Default Value : No Global memory entries programmed, only 100 global memory available.

Feature Type - User 

Description of the Feature : This feature allows you to dial global memory numbers. This feature gives you the flexibility to dial out the programmed telephone numbers with ease.

How to Use : Lift the handset and dial the required memory number if it is programmed. Global memory dialing can be routed thro LCR also, if you program using trunk groups (00/55).

                   If you are dialing from Operator console, dial MEM key and dial the Global Memory number.

Restrictions : Global memory expansion is available in 8320V3 and 9600 models only, thro which you can store upto 200 memory locations. The second half locations can be programmed using 580 series instead of 480 series

                    If you program 485 + 2, the next 100 memory locations will be available for programming/usage, and the dialing sequence changes from 601~699 style to 6001~6199 to facilitate 200 numbers dialing. 
                    If you are using first 100 locations by default and you need more memory numbers in future, you can easily expand the memory by 485 command and make use of the next 100 locations.
                    If the expanded Global Memory is blocked using 485+1, the dialing sequence will become the original style 601~699, and the second 100 locations will be untouched.
                    There exists a perfect isolation between the two memory location blocks, and are controlled by 480 series and 580 series commands respectively.

To program 
a)mobile no 9393471266 in memory location 45 of Part 2 of memory, and dialing from Trunk 14;
b)mobile no 01412373333 in memory location 25 of Part 1 of memory, and dialing from Trunk Group 0;
           First, you need to open 2nd part of memory.

  • To Re-check the programming, see the configuration report
  • Default setting: Global Memory entries are empty, and only first 100 locations are available for Global Memory usage and programming.
  • The two parts of memory can be programmed, used, and cleared in separate ways. So, there is no conflict between the two sets of memory. You can even activate and program 2nd part of memory after all the first part entries are filled.

Modifications / Suggestions : 
                                             Global Memory dialing can be made irrespective of the Class Of Service assigned to the dialing extension. So, recheck while storing Global Memory numbers. Global Memory dialing is open in all feature levels.
